eBay Scammer Gets Nailed On Video!
==========================================
Debbie, one of the biggest problems for eBay sellers
(and buyers) is dealing with scammers.

This week I came across a video of the infamous Judge Judy
nailing an eBay scammer that was selling pictures of cellphones
for hundreds of dollars on eBay.

It’s great watching Judge Judy go up one side and down the other!

Enjoy your weekend!

P.S Could you please forward this to a few friends. Thanks!

Good Website Design Tips

Your website is where your business resides - it’s like
the headquarter of an offline company.

It’s important to practice good web design
principles to reach the maximum number of visitors.

Here are some tips that will help…

1) Use clear navigation directions

Your site navigation menu should be uncluttered and
concise so that your visitors know how to navigate
around your website without any confusion.

2) Reduce the number of images

Though, graphics make a website look more
attractive. There are still many internet users on
dial-up, so keep in mind to reduce the size of your
graphics if possible. Large images make your site
load slowly and more often than not they are just
a waste of bandwidth.

If you find that graphics are essential on your site,
you can optimize them by using an image editing
program so that they meet a minimum file size.

There are free online services that will do it
for you.
http://www.tools.dynamicdrive.com/imageoptimizer
http://www.gimp.org/

3) Keep your text paragraphs at reasonable length

Reading online is a different experience then reading
off line print media. If a paragraph is too long, you
should split it into separate parts so that the text
blocks will be much easier to read.

Use double space between your copy. This
gives the eyes some rest, and keeps your readers
alert.

Don’t make your font too small, or people will
have problems reading your copy. Remember some
people can’t see as well as others.

4) Make your website cross-browser compatible

If your website looks great in Internet Explorer but
breaks horribly in Firefox and Opera, you will lose
out on a lot of prospective visitors. So, always check
how your website looks in different browsers.

It’s best to have a set of browsers on your own
computer, rather than relying on online services.

You can also use the W3C validator -it may help
with your website compatibility.
http://validator.w3.org/

Here are two free online browser check services:
http://www.browsercam.com
http://www.anybrowser.com/siteviewer.html

5) Using scripting languages on your site

Try to use scripting languages to handle or manipulate
data on your site, and not to create visual effects.

Scripts not supported across all browsers,
some visitors might miss important information
because their web-browser crashes.

More information on scripting languages can be found
At -
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/language.mspx?mfr=true

6) Creating website templates

Website templates are very affordable these days
and can save you a lot of hassle when you want
to create a new layout.

The point of using a template is to save time
and effort. You can go a long way by just changing
the title, entering your keywords, put in some new
graphics and appropriate details and you’re done.

Example: you find a nice template that suits your
hobby site, except the original designer
has put an image of stamps in the header.

Search for images of what your hobby is related to,
to replace the stamps for your hobby site.

Just be aware of using too popular templates. If
many people use the same template, your site
will not appear unique and your credibility as a
solid.

The last thing you want your site to do is appear
generic just like your next-door neighbors.

7) Using testimonials

People like to know what other people
think about your products, or service.

A testimonial shows how satisfied a customer is
with your products.

It shows credibility, professionalism, it brings
trust and in the long term, it will make you more
profits…

Now, would you like to put some captivating testimonial
graphics on your website, or sales page, but don’t know
how to create them?

Here’s a set of great looking testimonial graphics
to spice up your website and increase your online
sales and signups:

I hope these tips will help your to make a better
performing website.

Add Your eBay Store To Web Get eBay Referral Credit

Refer your eBay store outside of eBay and get referral credit
from eBay. These helps with costs of your listing and final fees.

Decide which part of your Store you’d like buyers to visit.
You can include links to the parts of your Store you are
wanting to refer to become eligible for an eBay referral
credit.

*The item page of one of your Store Inventory items
*Your About Me page
*A Store category within your Store
*A search results page within your Store,
based on keywords you’ve specified

A custom page you have created in your Store
to do this you must include a referring ID at the
end of the URL that you send to prospective buyers.

The area of your Store that you want buyers to visit should
depend on what you think will be most effective.

For example, if you know that buyers are particularly interested
in one of your Store categories, you may want to promote that
category and enable them to access the category page directly
from an outside link.

Obtain the Web address (URL) for the part of your Store that
you’d like buyers to visit.
The URL of your Store’s main page is based on your Store’s name:
stores.ebay.com/yourstorename

To obtain the URL for other parts of your Store, go to that
part of your Store in your Web browser.
Copy or write down the URL that appears in your
Web browser’s address box.

Add a special referral code to the end of the URL
you’ve obtained.
The code that is needed to be added at the
end of your URL is:
?refid=store or &refid=store

When a potential buyer clicks the link you’ve created, the
referral code in the URL will tell eBay’s system that the
buyer is entering your Store because of your promotion.

If you do not include the referral code in your link, eBay will
not be able to give you a Store Referral Credit, even if a sale
meets all of the other requirements.

Here are some examples of how Store URLs with referral codes
will look.

*Your Store’s home page
Referral code: ?refid=store
Examples:
http://stores.ebay.com/yourstorename?refid=store

*The item page of one of your Store Inventory items
Referral code: ?refid=store
Example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Name-Of-Item_W0QQitemZ4560088038Q
QcategoryZ378QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem?refid=store

*Your About the Seller page (your About Me page)
Referral code: &refid=store
Example:
http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws2/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=
yourUserID&refid=store

*A Store category within your Store
Referral code: ?refid=store
Example:
stores.ebay.com/yourstorename_W0QQdptZ0QQsclZallQQtZkm?refid
=store

*A search results page within your Store, based on keywords you’ve specified referral code: &refid=store
Example: http://search.stores.ebay.com/search/search.dllMfcISAPICommand=
GetResult&sid=41101180&store=Your+Store+Name&colorid=6&fp=
0&query=keyword1+keyword2&rchdesc=y&refid=store

*To obtain the URL for a keyword search, conduct the search in your
Store as if you were the buyer by entering the keywords.
A custom page you have created within your Store
Referral code: ?refid=store
Example:
http://stores.ebay.com/yourstorename?refid=store/pages/
pagename?refid=store

*Use the URL to create a link on a Web site outside of eBay.
Any Web site that does not have ebay.com in its URL is considered
outside of eBay. You could create a link on your own personal Web site:

Shop at My eBay Store!

http://stores.ebay.com/yourstorename?refid=store

To add this in html form except do not add spaces.
< a h ref= " http://stores.ebay.com/yourstorename?refid=store "
title = " Shop at My eBay Store! " > < /a>

Learn the Secret to Free eBay Listings

Did you know there is a way to list items on eBay without eBay charging a listing fee or having the eBay final fees charged to you?

Keith is an eBay Powerseller, an internet marketer and an award winning entrepreneur….

Keith Purkiss knows his stuff when it comes to eBay, He’s a Powerseller with a feedback rating of 27,500! Yes - you read that right, - Twenty Seven Thousand Five Hundred and rising!

Keith isn’t like a lot of people though — He has something that I don’t see very often at all! In fact I see many (and I mean many) eBay entrepreneurs who claim to know the systems and methods of earning big on eBay, and they show their proof with their 1000+ Powerseller ratings.

I’ve even seen some with a 2500+ rating, and on rare occasions there are the real deal Powerseller with a 10,000 plus rating (like John Thornhill).

Seriously though, can you imagine how much Keith must have sold on eBay over the years to acquire such a high rating? And, if you’re like me, don’t you wish you could afford to list that many items in the first place??

Think about how much you could make, and how you could grow your mailing list with those numbers of sales….

Frankly, I know my business would benefit tremendously if I had that many listings on eBay, and I’d bet you’re thinking the same.

Picturing the shear volume of “Payment Notifications” in your inbox, and the humongous size of your mailing list (is humongous a word? - either way it would be massive)

One thing that did pop into my mind though, I had to ask myself “How much would it cost to generate so many listings and sales?”

It could cost you hundreds just to pay out what eBay charges to list items and the final fees eBay charges.

This is precisely why I wanted to mention Keith today.

I have spoke with Keith, and he told me he Has Been Keeping A Secret! I told him you need to let this secret out. Look at it you have made it with your sales on eBay now give others a chance to do the same.

Are you curious to know what the secret is? - I know I was and now I do know!

Anything a 28,000 rated powerseller wanted to tell me I was curious to hear!

Well he’s finally spilled the beans and revealed one of his Biggest Secrets ….. He has learned the secret to getting his items listed on eBay and not being charged for final eBay fee costs. He has learned how to this all for FREE!

Not only that, he has items that are listed free and when they sell he Does Not Pay ANY final Value Fees!

No wonder he’s kept a low profile in the internet community for so long! The good news, is that he is revealing exactly how he gets his free listings and no final value fee auctions in a new report that’s set to amaze Bayer’s worldwide.

I wanted this report just to see how he avoids paying for all those listings and sales. I can say this right here and now - It’s Completely Legal and above board! It’s all in total compliance with eBay’s terms etc (which did surprise me;))

I had to get ahold of this report to find out his secret. In fact once I read the report myself. I was amazed at the simplicity of what Keith knew, And I’m sure you will be too.

For that reason I felt I had to share the report with as many people as possible, because at the end of the day ….. we could all do with a break like this!

Go and get the secret like I have learned. Read the rest of this entry »
